W2O Group Acquires ARC2 Communications & Media

--Strengthens Company's Presence in Los Angeles, the Content Capital of the World--

San Francisco, February 18, 2015W2O Group announced today that it has acquired ARC2 Communications and Media, an award-winning boutique communications firm based in Los Angeles, founded by Christine Cassiano and Andrea Rothschild.

"We view Los Angeles as the content capital of the world," said Jim Weiss, chairman and chief executive officer of the W2O Group. "We believe the best communications agencies must be as innovative in content creation as they are in analytics or software. Our acquisition of ARC2 represents a key step in our plan to innovate and challenge the status quo in how we entertain, consume and share content in any industry."

Cassiano and Rothschild founded ARC2 with the goal of providing clients with new ways to connect with consumers. Both have held positions in-house at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and have served in executive positions at global public relations agencies. They leveraged their decades of healthcare communications expertise and entertainment and media relationships to create ARC2.

"We're joining the W2O team to reinvent how we communicate, create content and innovate for global brands in the healthcare, entertainment and technology industries," said Cassiano and Rothschild in a joint statement. "We will help W2O Group tap into talent and innovation in the greater Los Angeles area from start-ups to studios."

Prior to forming ARC2, Cassiano and Rothschild were senior vice presidents and the West Coast Healthcare practice leads for Hill + Knowlton Strategies. With a background in both investor and public relations, Cassiano has a 20-year track record of developing strategies and executable plans in corporate and executive leadership, branding, initial public offerings, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, litigation, issues management, and product and financial communications. She previously held management positions in healthcare at Amgen, Allergan and Abraxis BioScience, in entertainment at Sony Pictures Entertainment, and in technology at Tickets.com.

Rothschild has held leadership positions at both agencies and in-house at Amgen. While at H+K, Rothschild led the global engagement for the firm's single largest client. She spent 10 years at Amgen, where she served in the company's corporate communications and oncology marketing departments. As the head of the Global Commercial Operations Communications team, she led a team of communicators responsible for the strategic public relations programming and issues management for the company's marketed and pipeline products.
